How long have you been competing?

How did you get started?

It all began with a book. "The Boys in the Boat" was its title, a story that captivated my father and sparked a fascination within him for a sport he had never before considered. He read it cover to cover, enthralled by the tales of perseverance, teamwork, and triumph.

My father, always a man of action, decided that this newfound interest should be shared. He introduced me to the world of Rowing, a world that would soon become a central part of my life. I was young, curious, and eager to follow in my love for this sport.

What do you love about competing?

Competing as a single sculler in rowing is an exhilarating experience that profoundly shapes my life. I love the intense sense of independence and self-reliance, knowing that every stroke and effort is solely mine. The physical and mental challenges push me to my limits, fostering personal growth and resilience.

The serene connection with nature during early morning practices, with the sun rising over calm waters, adds a special beauty to the sport. The thrill of competition, from the tension at the start to the rush of crossing the finish line, is unmatched. Rowing has taught me invaluable lessons in perseverance and discipline, continually fueling my passion and ambition.

Single sculler (2000m) : 6:50.02 in the boat
Single sculler (500m). : 1:31.00 in the boat
Concept2 ergometer : 6.02

These records have made me the fastest rower in all of Africa and the Arab world

Long term goals:

My goal is to finish in the top 10 at the Paris Olympics and qualify for the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028!
